Holidays with Montessori
During school vacations, Montessori with Love offers Holidays with Montessori for children from 3 to 7 years of age.
Children can stay half a day or all day from Monday to Friday.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
9:00 – 12:00
I welcome children between 9:00 and 9:30.
Then follows a 3-hour uninterrupted work cycle (optimal amount of time for a child to reach the most in-depth level of concentration). During this period I give individual presentations of new material, children can also choose activities that interest them and work at their own pace (see the list of activities below).
12:00
Children who have registered only for the morning session leave. Those who stay all day have lunch (each child brings his lunch-box). Eating together is a great occasion to train independence and social interaction, so children prepare the table, enjoy their food together and clean the tables afterwards.
After lunch, we go outside, do meditation or have a quiet time, it all depends on the individual needs of the children.
13:00
I welcome children who have enrolled only for the afternoon session.
13:00 – 16:00
We continue our day with another 3-hour uninterrupted work period. I also propose an “art activity of the day”. Although children can paint, draw or do other art activities throughout the day, this “art activity of the day” is a unique activity that usually takes more time and concentration. Children always have the choice of doing this activity or engaging with another one they are interested in.
Children can have a snack if they want. In the classroom, we always have some fruit to eat. Food preparation is one of the Practical-Life Montessori activities (slicing a banana, cutting an apple, peeling a carrot, ….). However, I recommend that each child brings some small snack with him.

Montessori Activities
At Montessori with Love children find a variety of Montessori materials. I also prepare activities based on the season & topic, e.g. volcanoes, animal or plant life cycles, ecology.
Every child has the freedom to safely explore and learn through discovery. At Montessori with Love they can work independently, observe others and express their creativity and curiosity. The class is divided into several areas with these learning activities:
Practical Life activities develop independence, concentration & self-confidence. They include:
- Self-care: washing, food preparation, dressing
- Care of environment: cleaning, plant care, flower arranging
- Control of Movement:
- Large-motor activities: climbing, yoga
- Fine-motor skills: transferring objects, using tools and utensils, artwork
- Grace and Courtesy: social skills, developing manners through interactions with others
Sensorial activities allow the child to refine each of his senses, and to develop coordination and the ability to order and classify
Language: naming objects, conversation, singing, music, specific Montessori hands-on and tactile language materials such as the sandpaper letters & the moveable alphabet
Mathematics: the child is led to think logically and to reason through the concrete maths materials. He gets a sensorial impression of each process (addition, subtraction, etc.) where the focus is on the process itself, NOT the accuracy of the results. Each exercise builds upon the previous one, and the child moves from concrete to abstract
Culture: at Montessori with Love we love nature! Moreover, we live in such a wonderful region. As a result, this learning area is really rich. It includes:
- Geography (continents, landforms, solar system),
- Zoology (physiology of animals, life cycles),
- Botany (ecology, classification, life cycles),
- History (timelines),
- Science.

I signed up my 6-year-old daughter for one week, and she was delighted. Small group, calm and welcoming atmosphere, nice place with a wide variety of activities, super nice educator: I recommend 100%.Virginie
The workshop is so cool, we do lots of activities: collage, painting, yoga, reading,.... says my daughter. She never wants to leave this place!! A little haven of peace for children: very well-kept, with beautiful equipment, she finds Eli her “Mom from the workshop” who is very gentle and very patient. Eli is trained in Montessori pedagogy and speaks English too! My little one is learning to manage her emotions, to concentrate, to tidy up, to share activities with other children and also to spend a few hours away from her mom... So I find that this prepares her really well for her future return to school. In short, only positive! Thank you, Eli! Thank you, Montessori with Love! You have brought us a lot of well-being and joy into this difficult pandemic year.Delphine
Finally, a REAL Montessori structure! Eli welcomes my children with a lot of kindness! It has been 1 year since I first subscribed my 7-year-old son to a Montessori class, and I do it as often as I can because he loves to express his creativity and his curiosity. My 21-month-old daughter has been going there since she was 16 months old with the nanny, she likes to go there to choose herself what she wants to do, she already knows how to cut vegetables! The BIG plus, Eli speaks English with the children at our request and I see continuity in exploring at home. Eli really adapts to the needs of the child!Salima
A big thank you for your kindness and the quality of activities proposed to my daughter. She was so happy with these four days, and she asked me when she could come back!Karine
Love it! And my daughter too :)Giulia
